"Was a nice room. But wow was it roasting hot. We could find anywhere of turning the heating down or off so had a very hot night, even with fans on. The toilet however had no heating so was the opposite and freezing. Nice to have our own little room but think it was too pricey, compared to the many other hotels we stay in for major race events. Breakfast was toast, yogurts or 3 choices of cereal, nothing for vegetarians and not really a continental as offered. "

"My husband and I stayed in room 6 which is rather special. It is a huge room with a lovely oval bath in the bedroom and separate shower and WC with two hand basins. There was also a desk and chair and comfy leather sofa and a TV. The chandeliers and large mirrors added a bit of glamour. We ate at the pub on our first night and enjoyed our meal and the service. "The Swan Hotel is a unique venue in a historic village which is like stepping back to Tudor times. Our large room had recently been refurbished and was lovely with a large super comfy bed. Personally I’d have preferred a walk in shower to one over the bath. Nice to have a safe in the room but positioning on the wardrobe floor wasn’t very practical. "

"Shingle Cottage is lovely, it felt stylish and cosy all at the same time. It’s in a rural location, perfect for country walks and exploring the nearby towns and villages. We couldn’t have wanted for a nicer place to stay. "

"Lovely and quirky. We really enjoyed it. Ideal romantic getaway for a weekend. The private shower rooms/ toilet although dedicated to each hut are a very short walk away. Disappointed that the hot tub had to be reserved, but understandable in the present climate! Breakfast is simple…. Cook your own waffles and pancakes!!!! Would have been better to have cereals and toast with some jam and marmalade!!"
