"We absolutely loved our stay at Alva Valley. Great atmosphere, breakfast & amazing customer service with very nice rooms. So nice to escape from the crowds in Porto. We stayed here after our drive through Douro Valley. Highly recommend coming here to unwind."

"Such a beautiful property, big rooms, exceptionally clean, excellent staff service and always ready to help. The manager was just absolutely amazing and very understanding. The highlight for me was the gym. Loved it ! My children loved the swimming pools, the architecture of the building and it's history. The only thing that was a small issue was that there is no public transport and expensive to get taxis to main city. Hence i would recommend one hires a car or drives their own. Nevertheless...

The option is to choose starters and desserts (which included the nicest chocolate cake I've ever had in Portugal) from an unlimited buffet, with the main course from the delicious menu. "My wife and I stayed for two nights over Easter and had a wonderful relaxing time. The room was delightful and the hotel facilities were perfect. The breakfast was very nice with lots of variety. We had dinner in the dinning room and the food and service was good. Nice place to unwind for a couple of days. "
