"The property was tastefully furnished which reflected its historical past. There was a spacious sitting room for use by guests and a kitchen equipped for the heating and simple cooking of meals. "Was a nice room. But wow was it roasting hot. We could find anywhere of turning the heating down or off so had a very hot night, even with fans on. The toilet however had no heating so was the opposite and freezing. Nice to have our own little room but think it was too pricey, compared to the many other hotels we stay in for major race events. Breakfast was toast, yogurts or 3 choices of cereal, nothing for vegetarians and not really a continental as offered. "

"A great one night stay! We didn't venture outside of the hotel much but it was really nice having our own external front door. The room was amazing with a lovely bathroom. One thing to note... No radiator in the bathroom, just a heated towel rail. So the bathroom was cold. But plenty of radiators in the rest of the room. We were also lacking a kettle in the room and found the coffee machine a bit of a faff to use. Oh... And the smallest TV in the world. Made watching 1% Club almost impossible 😂...

"Brilliant location for visiting all the main attractions in Bury St Edmunds. Was warmly welcomed by our host and they were flexible about check in times and us leaving the car in their car park before check in. Had a lovely quiet room which was warm and comfortable. Everything we needed was provided. Breakfast was great, with a good selection. Would definitely stay here on future visits to the area."

"I went to Diss to see friends & colleagues. On arrival no one was there to meet me as I had arrived early. There was no way of contacting the proprietor. They were on holiday, their adult daughter & son in law were taking care of bookings/stays. I had to wait for them to come home from work. The son in law was the first to arrive and was friendly & apologetic. The daughter arrived and she was equally lovely. The room was so nice and comfortable. I had a fantastic sleep & enjoyed my stay.
