"This hotel is long overdue an overhaul and this year it was nice to see they’ve started it on some rooms. Worth a visit but don’t expect plush 4/5 star hotel. It’s dated but they seem to be improving things. Staff are lovely, pool is small and the lady who runs the pool does so with an iron fist and is sometimes over zealous. "We can’t say enough about our stay here. The owners were two of the most hospitable hosts we’ve ever had. It felt like we were friends who had come for a visit after not seeing each other for many years. Food was great! The room was sweet and comfortable. We loved our stay and will plan on returning when we’re next ‘across the pond.’ When we were leaving, the owner came hurrying out to wave goodbye to us as we were pulling out of the driveway. "This was our first time staying in this area and I’m so glad we did! The lodge is beautiful, situated overlooking a wee loch and hills. It was bright, spacious, clean and well equipped.
