"Bed was very hard. I did ask for a mattress topper but it was so thin that it made no difference. Paper cups in the room were disappointing. Would have expected proper cups given that we had tea and coffee making facilities. Glasses for water were also plastic. Tea and coffee were not replenished each day. Nor was the water. Only allowed for one day of your stay! The balcony was different to the photo and also close to a busy road so not relaxing. The breakfast was good with plenty of variety....

"Beautiful 15th century villa , with manicured grounds . Restaurant was excellent, but rather expensive . Bfst was excellent. 4 km out of Lucca on Busy highway , so couldnt walk into town . Partially offset by a bus route appropriately 600 meters from property. Enjoyed walks in the countryside. Loved our stay overall !!"

"Our second time staying here because of its great location and good breakfast but this time we didn’t get a room with a view. Still good though. Highly recommend the baked apples at breakfast! "

"Staff were amazing Very helpful Jacuzzi was cold Pool closed early, 9pm That was disappointing Perhaps Covid was a factor but we would have liked to swim Location was perfect Beautiful town Close to train station "

"We stayed in a separate building adjacent to main hotel so didn’t really have much to do with staff etc. our room was fine, clean, comfy beds and plenty of storage. The area was really good, plenty of nice restaurants & cafes. Train stations in walking distance. Plenty of shops around. Had breakfast in cafe next door Cafe Salute, croissants and drink for around £3, excellent value"

"The food at the restaurant was terrible. I ordered a bottle of wine and they sent another that was 3 times the price without telling me. They threw us out because they said they had to set up for breakfast while they had other tables still sitting. We were still drinking our wine. The only person that was nice at this place was the person at reception. "
