I tried to get attention to buy another bottle of wine but gave up after staff walked past twice. Breakfast staff excellent and food also excellent. Promote your breakfast staff to train and supervise other staff and you will get 5 stars. Hotel is clean and comfortable but rooms too hot and no thermostat which is strange. Overall 3 stars plus."

"Its an old country house, with lots of character and interesting antiques and wall hangings. The rooms are of course old, and the furniture is to say the least well used, as are the fixtures and fittings in the rooms and bathroom. Nothing was not working, so functionally it was well maintained. For us, the carpet, curtains and fittings would be improved by a thorough cleaning, but that is not to say it was dirty.
