"Great location, right by the Salzburg train & bus station. This was only a short bus ride into the ‘old town’. Area around hotel felt safe. Rooms are in need of refurbishment but still quite adequate. Bath room needs improvement as shower is within the bath & could be an issue for some people to use. Otherwise, I loved it and would stay again. "

"Gerl Hotel is a place not only to sleep while travelling but to spend time in the hotel as well. It has a great resturant and the breakfast was very tasty with a wide variety of dishes. Shame the main spa (which is spectacular) opens only at 11:00 and closes at 20:00. "

"Our room was across the road from the main hotel on the top floor, the family room was huge, 2 bathrooms, really nice. The gym and pool are also very good. The area is good to start a walk down the slight hill towards the river. Lots of shops and places to eat. Good cafes for coffee and of course apple strudel. The castle above Salzburg is worth a visit with a great view of the snowy mountains. The Christmas market was very nice with plenty of stalls."

"Clean, close to station. Book in time of 4pm is too late. Was given incorrect or misleading info re early check-in. Not enough plain black teabags & no stirrer/teaspoon. No milk pods, only 2 milk powder. C Would have liked a hand grip to get in/out of shower/bathtub."

"The distance walking to sites in Salzburg was a 2km lovely walk. We enjoyed the walk and were happy with the location. Great place to stay and do tourist activities."
