We appreciated the quiet of our room ( we didn’t hear other guests), it's draftproofed sash window with view over the seashore, along with a comfortable bed and sufficient space in the room to be at ease. "The hotel was lovely; the rooms were very well appointed and comfortable. It was very quiet and relaxing. The common rooms were very nice and welcoming. The staff was professional, gracious and friendly. We spent a lovely cocktail hour in the lounge and enjoyed delicious custom cocktails. Dinner and breakfast were first rate! Local foods, creatively prepared. We went for an afternoon hike along the canal, which was easy to access from the property. Highly recommend this property."

"We had a nice stay at this hotel; friendly staff, nice food, good sized bedroom and lovely views. We had a standard turret bedroom and whilst it was spacious, the en suite was really small and felt like a shower had been squeezed into a room that used to be a toilet room. There was no space to swing an earwig let alone a cat! The toilet had a cigarette burn on it and the lid on the plastic cistern didn’t fit on the tank.
