"We absolutely loved our stay here. We stayed in the Pool Suite which was very comfortable. All the staff were very polite and friendly and always had a smile on their face. It is a very relaxed hotel and you just feel at ease as soon as you arrive. The food is amazing and reasonably priced. We would love to come back here one day! Thank you for a lovely stay."

"One of few hotels with its almost private beach. Boutique but a little rough around the edges - so what if nothing is perfect - this isn’t Maldives. Great food, really friendly staff. No loud music and respectful guests. They are offering a great product, that’s why guests return. Easy tuktuk to busier area and boats to take you elsewhere. We were genuinely sad to leave. "

"We had the best time at Serendipity Lake house. Chathuranga was warm and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. It’s so peaceful and relaxing, and the food is delicious. The regular rooms are evocative and very comfortable, with choice of fan and air conditioning. The lack of a television is more than compensated for by the eclectic collection of books in rooms, and communal areas. "We loved our stay at Arabella. Loved the simplicity and size of the rooms. Kept very clean and tidy by the staff. Cute offering of bananas for supper in the room with the turn down service. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Pool area was on the small size but we had no problem using it when we wanted to. Kitchen and kitchen staff were A . Food and service was amazing highly recommend the chimichurri prawns & the prawn or fish tacos! All breakfast options were great also! Tuk Tuks available...

"Highly recommended!! The location is great, my room was spacious and well equipped, the food is plentiful and delicious and all the staff are happy, friendly and totally adorable!! If you're staying over Christmas/New Year, the extra effort with decorations and evening schedules is really lovely - the best I've experienced. "At the end of our Sri Lanka holiday we decided to spend a bit more on our Unawatuna hotel & were not disappointed. We had large rooms with loads of space, kitchen, really comfy beds, excellent views from our balconies. The staff were helpful & the pool lovely. We did book nicer rooms that some there & didn't eat so can't comment on the food. It's a bit of a walk or a short Tuk Tuk ride to the main tourist area or a beach but that also means it's quiet there."
