"Great host! Very helpful, and provided great information on what to do in the area"

"Room was unclean on arrival. Door required a special manoeuvre to unlock which was a real fire risk as the room windows don’t open. We reported both to reception, but were greeted by a shrug of the soldiers and some story about renewing the cleaning contract at the end of the season. Breakfast was cold meat and cheese with watered down orange juice and just the one toaster. Some staff were helpful but others weren’t. Whilst offering fishing, the staff didn’t know how to obtain the 2 Euro per day...

"A historic building on the outside, modernized on the inside, the guest house lies on the Salpa Line which was built to defend Finland during WWII. The Karelian flag flies proudly in the garden. The hosts arrange tours of the line and enthusiastically suggest walks and activities around Lappeenranta. The walk from the house to the lake Myllylampi was beautiful and alive with birds. Rooms are equipped with kitchen and dining areas."

"For the price at the time, just below 200 a night, it was not well matching the experience. As a family with toddler we got 4 beds and no frills room. No climate control, not working toilet door, no in-room entertainment, no baby crib, a bit run-down room, OK people service, a good breakfast and nice looking hotel by exterior. "

"Kiva yllätys. Hyvä hinta-laatusuhde. Aamupala oli runsas, keliaakikolle voisi olla myös jokin pieni makea. Kiva, kun löytyi leipää. Ihana alue ja upea iso puisto vieressä."
