"Welcome to Les Tours de Fawlty. The chalets are not uncomfortable but basic and thin-walled. Beds are decent, pillows brick-like. The tour de force, however, happens in the restaurant. Having read decent reviews, we were rather looking forward to some simple but good French food. Worth mentioning at this stage that I lived in France for 14 years and speak French. Seul bémol, l'éloignement trop important de la zone 0 où était situer le cottage. plus de 35mn pour se rendre à pied à la zone nautique, qui reste le point central des attractions. Il serait pertinent d'instaurer des navettes, surtout quand la météo est mauvaise."

"We stayed 4 nights. Nice location with green fields and river at the back, attached to an old mill. Very typical 70s French hotel main building. Easy walk to Chateau and village both of which are lovely. Negatives, carpet stained in main areas in places and euro 9 per person for continental breakfast a bit steep, not included in the rate. Would definately go back clean and friendly. Gardens with nature trail for kids."

"Really lovely couple that runs this place. As noted other guests complaint that you can't check in after 9:30pm we got there well in advance and had no problem. Just as a heads up there is NO LIFT so be forewarned if you have heavy bags. Also it is not allowed to sit outside and drink a bottle of wine as the veranda is part of the restaurant. This is too bad as they have quite a nice garden."
