"Lovely stay at the Royal Hotel. Staff were very friendly, room was fine, beds not the most comfortable, maybe a little too warm. Location a short walk from center of town. Breakfast selection was very good, as it was out of season it was not a buffet, but cooked to order. Free car parking is a big positive. Overall a good stay! "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the quality of the service, cleanliness, bar, restaurant, food etc etc. The employees were great too. However, the hotel is not ideal for someone that has impaired mobility or uses a wheelchair, because of steps within the common parts of the building and does not have a lift to access the upper floors' bedrooms. "Great location lovely view of bay hotel was amazing only downfall at hotels was staff sometimes had to wait 10 to 20 minutes to get served at the bar and on check out nobody there to settle bar bill of £5.85 for a pint of beer and got email to say I'd left the property without paying lol if someone was there at reception i would have sorted my bill out but had to leave as taxi was waiting ✋️ 😀 "

"Uplands very comfortable, has everything you need for self catering stay in St Helier. So clean, beds so comfortable and such large accommodation. Stayed many times previously and will continue to do so. Every utensil u need is on hand."

"Great hotel, staff very pleasant and helpful throughout. Room good size, large comfortable bed, bathroom with shower and bath. Ample toiletries supplied. "Silvana and Carlos are excellent hosts, we couldn't thank them enough for all their help during our stay. We loved the guest lounge and garden, all rooms face towards the sea and are very nicely decorated and furnished. The hotel has a wonderful panoramic view over St Helier and out to sea."

"Property is wonderful and very well located. Light and airy but due to restrictions no hob , only microwave. In summer not a problem as there is a wonderful bbq area with plenty of space. Would highly recommend."

"The hotel is apparently closing soon which is a shame because we loved it. It was a bit quirky and old fashioned but very clean. The staff were superb and very friendly. The bar service and food quality was good. The position was excellent, convenient for the local restaurants and bus station. You can easily reach it by bus from the airport too. We stayed for six nights with friends and we all had a great time."

"Arrived at the hotel for a birthday weekend for me and the hubby, staff were very friendly and even upgraded our room. The pool, jacuzzi and sauna are one of the main reasons we booked the hotel and didn’t disappoint had it to ourselves most of the weekend. Breakfast was lovely lots of choice from continental- cereal, fruit, ham, cheese etc and then a gorgeous full English breakfast. Would highly recommend this hotel close to amenities and lovely views of the sea with a pub attached to the hotel but a nicer one across the road will definitely be back "
