The hotel is centrally-located with a Mexican bar/restaurant right next door; both times we stayed there, we had no issues with outside noise. No air conditioning units, just a vertical fan. "So time of year is a major factor when booking at this hotel as with most authentic German hotels there is no AC in the rooms. Avoid a sunny room because masonry buildings retain heat from the day. The breakfast room and courtyard dinning were superb."
