"The Hotel Bystricka is a bit out of the way, but it is a terrific hotel, so if you are in the area, choose this one. You need a car. Staff is super friendly and helpful, rooms are clean and quiet, and the restaurant is good. This last bit is important, because there are few nearby dining options, grocery stores, or cafes. At the end of a tiring day, sitting down to a decent meal really matters. I hope to stay here again if I get the chance."

"It was a very short visit, for work reasons. After an unexpected cancellation of a hotel reservation in Martin, I chose Pension Rosnicka instead. I don't regret it at all. Pension Rosnicka gives you the feeling of being in Switzerland, surrounded by mountains, with a sufficiently large pool cleaned with organic algae which really fulfills its function perfectly. I work in film production, so I visit dozens of hotels every year, but this pension has a family atmosphere. We felt really good there."

"We had an excellent stay in the Wellness Rezort Janosikov Dvor. We were enchanted by the beautiful traditional wooden cottages and the surrounding nature. The room was cosy, clean and beautifully furnished. We were delighted with the fast internet, so our entertainment was taken care of. The service in the restaurant was very friendly and helpful. We tasted authentic Slovak dishes that tasted like grandma's. Breakfast was also very tasty and varied enough. We also used the additional services...

"Nothing in the room such as hairdryer but it was modern clean and well kept. The surroundings were stunning and beautiful. Someone could have said that it is expected you are nude in the wellness centre with just and towel which many men chose not to use. No swimwear allowed and we got told off for it. Uncomfortable with all this we ledt immediately and did not use the facilities"
