The location is surrounded by beautiful nature and the sound of a beautiful river. The rooms are clean and well designed, and are designed to ensure privacy so that you won't be disturbed by anyone. "We were upgraded from a 2 bedroom to a 5 bedroom (we still only used 2 bedrooms) but had a nice large house with a fireplace. Loved coming in from the snow to a cosy house. "

"The River Lodge is a beautiful property set in lovely grounds. We had a large beautiful room, very comfortable bed, lovely bathroom and a balcony with a wonderful view of the mountain. We had fabulous breakfasts and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only downside is that it is quite remote - about a 10 minute drive into Ohakune."
