"Great view if fjord"

"We had a one night stay here on our way through Norway. Check in was easy - staff was pleasant enough. Room was small but had a comfortable bed (though slightly on the harder side for me), bathroom was a good size and shower had good pressure and nice shampoo and body soaps to use. Chromecast was difficult - couldn’t get it to work on mine or my husbands phones and staff just offered the excuse that it’s touchy with iPhones (my husband has an android so that was not our issue). Breakfast was ok...

"Exceptionally clean room and comfortable beds. Very sufficient and nutritious breakfast. Worth noting that it is a bit far from the city center and on Sundays the bus runs only every 30min, but the breakfast makes up for this along with the proximity to mountain walking trails up the mountain. The hostel seems to double for student accommodation, so this can lead to noisy behaviour from students. "

"Great stay but a very basic hotel. No mini fridge or hot water kettle. Great views as long as the cruise ships are not in port. Check the schedule to make sure. "

"Lovely view from balcony, room had a sofa as well as desk and Chair. Hotel was very grand and nice breakfast, although shame there isn't more options for vegan, as only had cows milk, eggs and pancake mix. Luckily enough fruit came out when I went back up for more bread. Room was poorly lit and was horrible buzzing from extractor fan /air conditioning unit from outside my room 117, wish I had asked for alternative room as really effected my sleep. "

"Great one night stay - friendly staff on arrival, well maintained historic hotel with spacious and comfortable single room with basic amenities, like kettle and TV. Fantastic breakfast, good spread and eating in the beautiful ballroom. Swimming pool with good changing facilities - could maybe use a revamp but still good in current state. Overall, I would recommend if staying around the area as convenient for all things nearby. "

"We arrived at breakfast at 9.30 - after recommending from the receptionist (earlier would be a hassle due to many people). But all basic food were missing (bread, eggs, cheese, croissants, fruit, etc) it was very difficult to get anything and the waiters were busy cleaning up. "
