"Paper thin walls between rooms, not great if you're a light sleeper. Spotlessly clean though Had DBB deal which was great value, but it was so rushed in the restaurant. Less than a minute between courses. Breakfast was mediocre, not a lot of selection in either hot or cold food, but what was there was really nice (thickest bacon i've ever eaten). Hotel bar very sociable with all the golfers. Overall - great for a one night stay."

"This hotel is amazing. I booked 4 rooms for a touring band. I was slightly worried about some of the negative reviews, but the place was great. It does need some attention, but it's an historic building - 400 years old! The stairs are crazy, like something from a funhouse! The rooms are spacious and comfortable.
