"I really liked this hotel. In an excellent location in the centre of town and opposite the train station. Also had an entrance into the local library which for me was a real bonus. "The hotel is very quaint and feels very typical of the area, although the rooms are basic when compared to the big chain hotels, they serve the purpose, the beds are comfortable and the water is hot. The food in the restaurant was of a fantastic quality and the portions were somewhat enormous, but it was nice to eat traditional foods, not the same as anywhere in the world. my only cause for dropping the star was the strange waste bag alongside the toilet which was not empty when I arrived and...

"The decor in the property is a little dated but it was clean, the bed was very comfortable and large rooms. The chef was very personable and even arranged bacon to be available for us at breakfast even though it is not on their menu. The food was delicious and the blonde haired waitress very friendly and helpful. All in all a great stay and good value for money. "

"Great little hotel in a really nice location. Stayed for one night as we were just passing through, but the room was large and comfortable, staff were great and food was excellent. We were on a fully loaded up motorbike so the big cobbles in the car park raised the pulse slightly, but thankfully it was dry.
