"Very enjoyable stay. Only problem was parking. Long way to walk to the car park with bags, especially when you have mobility problems. Other than that stay was lovely and David was very helpful and friendly. As an ex resident of Scarborough all the staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. "

"We had a friendly welcome from Tess, were given our keys to our room. We had room 2 which was a decent size with lovely fleece bedding. The shower was perfect, could do with a shelf for shower gel etc and a few hooks for clothes/ towels. We didn't have breakfast. It's a 15 minute stroll to the town centre with lovely views on route , would definitely recommend. "

"A convenient stop off on the way to Whitby. We chose the small double as we arrived late and were leaving straight after breakfast. It was fine for a short stay. Owners very friendly and although the room was above the pub it was very quiet after 10pm. Breakfast was very good. "

"I booked this hotel as I was attending a funeral nearby. The manager and all the staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The rooms are simply furnished, but clean and comfortable. I noticed that some of the rooms were being updated while we were there. I had the Sunday lunch (Steak pie and veg) which was excellent and plenty of it too. The breakfast is of the continental style with no limit on what one ate and bottomless tea and coffee. We had to be out of the room by 11am....

"Enjoyed our stay, pet friendly in most rooms which was a bonus for us because our dog travelled with us. Staff pleasant and friendly. Unsure about the food because didnt eat at the hotel, had a drink in the bar which was pleasant. They are doing work to the hotel so scaffolding to front of building. Net curtains required to the windows at front because no privacy due to the flats across the road and can see into your room. Fish and chips from the life boat fish shop was amazing. "Really enjoyed our stayed. Friendly hosts. Nice room. Comfy bed. Tea and coffee facilities, including homemade biscuits. Toiletries also provided, and dressing gowns and slippers. Great breakfast. Would happily stay there again."
