"Perfect location for sporting events in Bern. Clean, friendly and excellent breakfast. Will stay here again next time we have a tournament in Bern. Good restaurants within walking distance. "

"Overall it was an okay stay. We initially got lost trying to find the checkin. It is NOT in the back of the hotel as described in our welcome email. You checkin in on the main level in the building right next door to the parking. We went up and down stairs trying to find the checkin and there are parts of the hotel (the downstairs storage) that were sketch. Our room was actually pretty decent and clean. "Amenities are clean and new. Room is spacious. There is a library next to our room, with snack and drinks to purchase. Walk 5 min to no. 9 tram station, which takes 5 min to old town and train station. The only inconvenience is they sent a code to my email the day before which I forgot to check. When we arrived on Sunday afternoon, there’s no one at front desk, which makes us panicking. Finally another customer inside the building helped us."

"Always a fabulous stay at the Berchtold. Super covenient to public transportation, clean, nice rooms, great staff, and great food. If you are there at the holiday season, try to get a reservation in to the Raclette chalet as early as possible since it books up really quickly! The Berchtold is our go-to hotel any time we are in Burgdorf or the Bern region. "
