Pillows ok but one too little and 2 too much. Did not sleep well. Could hear every noise from people next door. Paintwork throughout hotel could do with a refresh. Carpets very worn in places. Service and food in restaurant was very good even though they were busy."

"A very nice hotel, conveniently located near the cathedral, castle & old town. The executive rooms are rather ambitiously named. I would say they are the minimum standard you’d expect from a good hotel these days. Comfortable and adequate. Walls are a little thin, in terms of noise - which could be a problem if you have noisy neighbours. Also cheap and nasty toilet paper which takes the edge of the ‘executive’ experience. Breakfasts were lovely and the staff attentive and friendly enough, though...

"This was a perfect place to stop in Newark. The owners welcome you so warmly and you feel like you are family whilst there. The room was so lovely and the bath was wonderful. Breakfast was cooked to perfection and the homemade marmalade was excellent. We certainly will go back there again. "
