If you are visiting I suggest you try Boquete where you will be pleased. If spending a few nights in David then Alcala is certainly acceptable. I have lived here for 4 years so I have a little experience in these things."

"We had a one night stay over in David, just to make bus connections before continuing on our trip around Panama. The hotel was modern, clean, comfortable and cool, once we had the A/C turned on, a refreshing break from the heat of David. The hotel is nicely located near the square and reasonably close to the bus terminal.The attached restaurant was also quite convenient with decent food."
