"Our stay at Casa Factoria was great in every way. The hosts were so helpful and attentive - they organised a day trip to Vinales and onward transport out of Havana for us. We took the classic car tour in Santiago’s pink car and it was so much fun. The pool on the roof is a nice touch. "

You get both the hotel and home experience out if your stay. Good location in vibrant old town. Safety wise, far more safer area than I was concerned beforehand. "Lovely hot shower and the only place I stayed that didn't experience a power cut! So the air-conditioning worked and the room was nice and cool. The owner looked after my case and let me wait in reception for a couple of hours for my taxi to the airport. Only downside was rather a lot of mosquitoes and midges in the room, but they were everywhere in Cuba. I got bitten when I don't normally and ran out of spray (so bring plenty)."
