"You cant check in early because theyre closed from 11am to 5 pm. They email you a code to get in however the machine was broken. So we had to wait to get in until someone arrived which thankfully was early. The room was very bare and basic, like a college dorm room. Hard beds. 1 pillow and 1 towel only. Nothing extra. "I have stayed here regularly over the years, but havent been since befoe Covid hit. The hotel has been updated since my last visit and the rooms particularly have benefited from the makeover. The lounge and bar and new Orangery are welcoming spaces. The restaurant has also had a similar makeover, the staff were attentive and friendly. Our mains coukd have done with being hotter when they arrived, but that was our only criticism."

"My only problem was late night access, let them know if you are delayed. Also, access to some of the outside rooms is via stairs, and if you have mobility issues, this can be tricky, ask ahead of time."

"Really nice hotel and in a great location just 45 mins from Calais. The room was great and overlooked fields and had a really nice balcony. Dinner was great and the wine choices were good too. The pool was amazing, just what was needed after a long drive. Everything was extremely clean and very well looked after. Lovely stay"

"If this hotel could be moved closer to the town centre then it would be 5 star. Unfortunately the road into town, which cuts through an industrial area, does not have a footpath and you have to walk in the road, ok in daylight but very unsafe at night. That is the only fault we found with this hotel, yes, we understand it’s not there fault but?????"

"My second time staying here. On street parking in front of the property, but charges apply and are limited to 3 hours during the day. Some areas of the building are looking old. But all facilities fully functional and room was well equipped. Shower was very powerful and hot water is quickly on tap. Friendly welcome on arrival and courteous an helpful throughout right till departure."
