"A stale kitchen smell hung around the reception and permeated the building. No lights were on and it was like entering a dark cave. I normally like quaint old hotels but this was just down at heel and dispiriting. The photographer must be very clever as the reality was dismal. The sauna was an extra 55 Euros so we didnt use it and didn't eat there as the stale smell was so unappetising. We would not have stayed except that we had booked and paid in advance."

"This is a very pleasant hotel where we have stayed before. However rooms are not large and bathrooms are on the small side. Service varies from very charming to quite sullen. The restaurant maintains a high standard with a diverse menu, although the selection does not vary much day by day."

"In France most restaurants close at 21:00. Odd but true. Because of cancellations at the Channel Tunnel we were delayed leaving the UK by 2 hours and arrived in Tennie at 21:30. "We had hoped to Eat here but had been delayed several hours at the Channel Tunnel and as a result we ate earlier as we knew the restaurant would be closed when we arrived. The breakfast was very good and having read the menu we hope to visit again on another trip. The view of the Etang from our room was nice. The room we had was comfortable and spacious."
