"This hotel needs to be updated. The carpets on the stairs and in the rooms were threadbare. Not all the corridor light switches worked, our loo did not flush initially but my husband fixed it, as he did the showerhead which did not stay in the correct positon ( using the showercap box). There were not enough electric sockets which you need nowadays with phones etc needing charging. The free wifi was fine though. The garden was ok but a few flowers would have made it somewhere you wanted to...

"My son was in hospital in Pontivy following a motorcycle accident. I shared a room with his partner at the Hotel de l'Europe for nine nights. The staff, two sisters and cleaning ladies were all charming and helpful. The sisters spoke English, again so useful for us. The hotel is central and opposite a car park which was free except not available on Mondays for the weekly market. The hotel has a car park for €8 a day. "It is run down, advertised as having air conditioner but was told when we arrived that it was broken. It was an individual unit...so I asked if we could have a different room and was told they are all broken. The room itself looked clean but we opted to leave without checking in."
