"Our family of four stayed in the family suite that had a king bed and sofa in main area, and then a side bedroom with two twins. It was a great bed arrangement for our family. The bathroom was small and not ventilated nor had a window, and no wash cloths were provided yet towels and hand towels were. The room seemed a bit dated, but it was large (other than small bathroom), clean, and comfortable. It is on one of the main streets in town about a 20-30 minute walk up a hill (not too steep)...

"Excellent hotel in a stunning setting. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Parking is freely available. Very good restaurant and the breakfast is also top class. Free bus pass provided to take you into the town, runs every 30 mins."

The only reason its not a 5 star rating is because the showers have low pressure but besides that the hotel is amazing and lovely"

"I stayed five nights and would book again. The location is very pleasant and safe, in a residential area. It is short (5-minute) enjoyable walk to the bus stop. Public transportation is excellent, so all of Mainz is easily accessible. Additionally it is only a 10-minute walk to the Gutenberg university. "Restaurant and location. Jacob, our waiter several nights was personable, attentive and fun The restaurant was a great location outside in front of the hotel. It would of been better if they seated smokers at one side of the outdoor restaurant and non smokers at the other. Germany in general allows smoking at outdoor seating which can be unpleasant for non smokers"
