"This is a step up from any other hotel experience at this price. The hotel is old in a good way - high ceilings, solid wood and marble features, and lots of small details that make it feel elevated. "This gem on the Paluxy River was a delight Relaxing and extremely dog friendly with the most gracious of hosts. Breakfast every morning was a delight and the tavern/restaurant was outstanding! No tv in the small rooms but it was not missed and there’s WiFi if you must. The town of Glen Rose is quaint and lovely. So if you find yourself looking for a place to stay in the area, I’d definitely recommend Inn OnThe River. "

"I was aware the resort was kind of "rustic" in the sense of a natural park/water park - cabin, but to our surprise, it exceeded our expectation, our room was ample, clean and great. The staff was uber-kind and attentive to our needs, we were provided an informative package with all the activities and amenities they offer, I wish I had more time than just the weekend to explore the area; we all had fun. This is a family resort so expect pets and kids around. "

"This place is VERY SPECIAL hidden on this beautiful piece of land with animals roaming around. Its so pretty there . I came in late it was dark and hard to find but i called and Helen gave me perfect directions and was so sweet. Love all the little lights and special attention to each spot. Would love to come stay in the railroad car someday. If you want quiet and enjoy country and seeing all the stars this is the place to be. Loved it i will be back"
