"Hotel is in great location facing the portal into citadel which encloses old town. Its a lengthy walk down to the city sized newer town and the beach beyond. However the citadel is much the nicest area to stay, unless you want the beach. The hotel is clean and comfortable although showing signs of age. The bar is very nice in the evening. Good breakfast choice although nothing hot. Good sized parking bays in garage although spaces are limited."

"It's a good hotel to stop off prior to taking the Eurotunnel or after. It's 10 minute drive to the entrance of the Eurotunnel centre. The staff is very nice. Very friendly. The place is child-friendly. It's accessible. It's quiet."

"The hotel was great as it was situated perfectly to stroll into the village and there were great eateries close by. Would have been better if we had known that we needed to book in advance off street parking. Needs a little work done lie the wardrobe door was not opening and was off the rails. Just being picky overall a great stay"

"Good little hotel for an overnight stay, great location, 10 min walk to station and town. 20 min drive from EuroTunnel. We didnt eat, but the cafe/bar area seemed popular. MultiStorey Car Park adjacent, £11.00 for 24 hours, safe and secure parking."

"The property was quaint and quiet. Staff was kind and helpful. Only issue was that it was difficult to find check-in with the construction. I realize that will be fixed soon."

"The staff is not hospitable or accommodating. A bit snotty. The hotel is full of police who are working on the coast. They have taken over the hotel with their meetings and dinners and drinking at night. Not pleasant. Will not recommend."
