"Eichwalde is a quiet, residential town. I was planning a couple of long days at DESY-Zeuthen, one S-Bahn stop south of Eichwalde (or a nice 45 minute walk). I typically stay in Berlin proper, but wanted to give this a try. Anyway, I had a small, but very nice, single room. Checked in late via the intercom and key lock-box. I had a German speaker with me, but it seems likely it would have worked in any case. Breakfast was quiet, food and coffee were excellent."

"Staff were friendly enough, but hotel is very outdated. As a couple we had hoped to not have to sleep in two separate tiny twin beds. Does not have 24 hour staff or even a minibar. "
