"Like some other reviews say, the appearance of the accommodation from outside is a bit scruffy and run down. The rooms are like they were 40 years ago except no mugs or glasses these days. However, the receptionist was welcoming, the food looked good, the rooms were clean, the bedding was fresh, the beds comfy and you could park right outside of your room. It was very quiet and convenient for the Motorway. Would definitively recommend "

"A stale kitchen smell hung around the reception and permeated the building. No lights were on and it was like entering a dark cave. I normally like quaint old hotels but this was just down at heel and dispiriting. The photographer must be very clever as the reality was dismal. The sauna was an extra 55 Euros so we didnt use it and didn't eat there as the stale smell was so unappetising. We would not have stayed except that we had booked and paid in advance."

"I imagine its just the age of the hotel showing and not so much the upkeep. We reserved this after showing up to 5 Themes and it being a room in the owners house. We weren’t comfortable staying there so we stayed here. It was the right decision. Definitely not a bad place and I won’t talk bad about it but I do think they could change a few things. That is all"

"The hotel I would describe as average. A little outdated and the hallway was decorated in a really dark wallpaper which made it very dark and dismal.. The room was ok and the bed comfortable. The grouting in the bathroom was a bit black and mouldy. The lighting in the room needs to be improved as it was also very dark. The receptionist explained everything and we didn't have any problems."

We booked a family room with a queen bed to sleep 4.When I made the reservation I made it quite clear it was for 3 adults and the booking was accepted. "We had hoped to Eat here but had been delayed several hours at the Channel Tunnel and as a result we ate earlier as we knew the restaurant would be closed when we arrived. The breakfast was very good and having read the menu we hope to visit again on another trip. The view of the Etang from our room was nice. The room we had was comfortable and spacious."
