"A lovely and atmospheric property. We were upgraded to a large room with a terrace and a sea view which was appreciated.The room was extremely comfortable with a complimentary mini bar. We loved the roof terrace with its great view over the fort and the sea. Although there is no pool, a small, safe beach is just steps away with beach towels provided by the hotel."

"Excellent/wonderful. Beautiful facility/setting and the staff are wonderful. The breakfast was the best I had in all of Sri Lanka. The dinner choices were wide ranging an excellent. The bed was very comfortable. Excellent water pressure with plenty of hot water. About a 10 minute Tuk Tuk ride to the Fort. Highly recommend. "

"This a nice property with staff that tries very hard. Pros- we started with a really nice welcome drink and our room had an awesome view (very small deck) and a very comfy bed with nice pillows. "Nice facility, our room was fairly unique with some fake rock. Our daughter's room had a cool outdoor bathtub. You get great use of two other Thambapanni resorts in the area. Rooms are large and interesting. Very musty. The air conditioner needed to be maintained to keep mildew out. Clothes drying rack, nice bathroom and good breakfast. Super accommodating staff. Unawatuna is a bit of a Russian tourist trap. Aggressive tuktuk drivers and merchants. Jungle Beach nice but crowded. The Sea Waves...

"This hotel was a short walk to the beach and main drag so it was really nice and quiet but at the same time was very convenient. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were amazing. The rooms were spacious, and each had a good-sized balcony with comfortable beanbags. I hope the next owners provide a similar excellent experience. "
