"Excellent hotel, friendly staff. We were surprised to find that the food and service were excellent. The food, which is all cooked on the premises, was of a very high standard. "

"This hotel needs to be updated. The carpets on the stairs and in the rooms were threadbare. Not all the corridor light switches worked, our loo did not flush initially but my husband fixed it, as he did the showerhead which did not stay in the correct positon ( using the showercap box).
