"we did late-check-in. but the way that pass the key was really irresponsible and NOT safe, I think. I didnt realize her contact & 24hour contact didn't work, so we took long time to check-in (Guimaraes might be a safe place, but...😥😫) Also "the reception opens at 10am" is too late. the price is really reasonable if guests don't do late-check-in. "

"The hotel was decent but the reception wasn’t open 24 hours so if you’re arriving late (around 11pm or so), you’ll always have to knock and wake up whoever is in there. There was one night that I almost didn’t get into the hotel because no one was at the reception and the main door was locked. Luckily, a woman who was also staying there arrived and called his boyfriend and unlocked the door for us from the inside. "Wonderful hotel within walking distance of the historic city, the castle and palace. The room and bathroom were very clean and the bed was comfortable. "

"Beds are very comfortable. Clean, crisp bedding. Lots of towels. Bathtub fircsoaking tired old bones. Well stocked breakfast was included. Lots of variety and the room is full of windows, for a great view of surrounding area. Very close to the historucal fort and on a bus route. "
