"Covelo-Original is exactly what a small guesthouse should be. Our stay was perfect. The Covelo is in the heart of old town and steps away from restaurants and just over the bridge is the religious centre. The room had everything needed (fridge, kettle, coffeemaker, all of which aren’t common in a POR room). "This is a beautiful boutique hotel run by a family. They prepare a delicious breakfast for all the hotel guests each morning. The area around the hotels has absolutely stunning views. There are a couple local restaurants they recommend and the food was delicious and very reasonably priced. This best prices of the 6 cities we visited in Portugal. "

"Loved the pool, very nice hosts, great breakfast, room was nice, however the description of amenities is not accurate - there was not air conditioning in the room, or is there a restaurant or pool side bar, which left us stuck for lunch when enjoying the pool. We booked a rook with river view but did not receive it. That all being said we did enjoy the place - but just beware or what is not accurate "
