"Everything was first class, except the food. French onion soup (in France) was like salted dishwater. No baguette nor cheese on top. The main course was also lukewarm. We have been coming to the hotel for years, when it was Ibis. We don’t expect Michelin star, but the food wasn’t brilliant. At best, it was ok. "

"Absolutely amazing hotel. When travelling, I prefer to stay at chain hotels as they tend to be more reliable and safe. Hotel room was huge, toilet/ shower was a very good size and the check in was so easy. The lady spoke both French and English so made it a very easy process. Got breakfast included which was lovely. Short walk to the museum and Christmas market as well as the high streets and Dunkirk harbour. 10/10 recommend"

"Scrambled egg at breakfast was cold, had to get it reheated, hot water from machine was not boiling so tea was only lukewarm, no English breakfast tea but good other teas. Management allowed a cat to wander around dining room during breakfast, I wouldn't have eaten breakfast there had I have known this. Advertised as rooms being soundproof, this was not the case as talking in next door room could be heard and someone somewhere was coughing"
