"We were welcomed very warmly by the front desk. We were early for check-in and were given a coffee and small treat while we waited. The room was spacious in comparison to other rooms we had stayed in while traveling Bavaria. It also had a small balcony. Everything was clean and the bed was comfy. It was a great location to walk to landmarks, shopping, and dining. Breakfast was amazing! We were also given a couple bottles of riesling to celebrate our anniversary. We will definitely stay there...

"Great choice for an overnight stop driving further south, but next time, would like to stop for 3 nights to take advantage of the hotel bikes and cycle up and down the Mosel. Lovely sunny terrace for drinks and to eat our evening meal, and the breakfast was splendid."

"A very friendly and well kept hotel with a fantastic kitchen and some lovely wines, as you might expect from a hotel in the Mosel. We dined in on 2 nights out of three and had very well prepared local food. The staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs. My only minor criticism is that their ability to deal with credit and debit cards was iffy. That said, we were able to settle our bill without having to resort to cash. "

"Very clean. Had AC which was necessary during a very warm period. Easy walk (1.5 km) to center with lots of restaurants. When we arrived at 8pm there was no one at the reception to check us in. The only telephone number on web page or from hotels.com rang in the empty reception. After 2 hrs of a stressful situation, an online chat with hotels.com finally found a second number to call. Then a woman next door came to help. Not a good start for a couple of tired and hungry travelers."

"We made a last minute reservation, looking forward to staying along the Mosel River, and were thoroughly pleased with this inexpensive, charming hotel. Our dinner in their dining room and the breakfast the next morning were excellent. The reception staff recommended that we explore the downtown area and the Bruckentor (old bridge gate), and especially the harrowing but rewarding trip up to the Ruine Grevenburg (castle ruins), and it was unforgettable. "This is a 2 star hotel, not the 3.5 star listed on Expedia. The pictures look great but inside it is a motel. The site says free breakfast but there is nothing and the staff look confused that I asked about it. It is being renovated and there are lights out all over including the stairs which make it very dangerous. Stay away. "

"The lady who checked us in would not let us use the elevator. Another lady came up to us as we started the stairs and said use the elevator. The check in clerk, older white lady, said no elevator. The other lady looked at her with shock when the clerk told her in German we are not to use the elevator. I have a hip,knee and shoulder replacement. This was a struggle and not nice of her. We found and used the elevator from then on The people in the morning on our check out were wonderful "
