"We had an incredible three day stay here after staying in Chiang Rai for four nights. This was a true gift - very Thai style and sweetly old fashioned but with all the mod cons. The family is super wet and kind - we loved Khun Gigi and her little puppy Kai Dow. The breakfasts were delicious - make sure you have the khao Tom in particular as it’s excellent! "Basic motel style but no twin rooms, the price at the place was 600baht for a single and 1200 for a double so we asked to change to 2 singles, which caused mayhem and we kept being put on the phone to someone who spoke English but still said we’d have to pay extra, eventually the lady took us to a suitable room but no top sheets and the bedcover was filthy. The shower was great though and bathroom clean, no bedside lights."
