"This was a historical gem, with ceilings and furniture that fit the area we stayed (near Via Atenea) and matched the solemnity of the Valley of the Temples. We actually walked from here to the Temples, which was a healthy walk but enjoyable in April's sunshine. (I wouldn't recommend it in the heat of the summer.) Though our stay was brief, it was the perfect setting, with shopping and restaurants in walking distance. The only thing we missed was a way to make coffee in the morning!"

"There are no problems with the bedroom, the property owner, or the management. (Do call or text with your exact arrival hour, though.) The biggest issue you may have with this place is reaching it with your suitcase wheels intact, because you are going into the old part of Agrigento and depending on your approach angle, you may be dealing with seemingly-endless bumpy walkways, staircases, and roads which allow one car at a time. The owner is very kind-hearted and has a wonderful book of old Sciacca in case you are looking for clues about your family’s roots.
