"The Blarney Hotel exceeded my expectations. The hotel itself is beautiful and right beside Blarney Castle which was the main purpose of our visit. I was unwell at the time of visit and the front desk receptionist was very helpful with advice for a dr in the area and also offered to make some hot water with lemon and honey which I gratefully took her up on! The genuine service and care was lovely. The breakfast was fantastic! After traveling for almost 3 weeks and have several subpar hotel...

"I liked the hotel but the restaurant had pretty bad service. The hotel is nice and right in the beautiful town. I would recommend the hotel to stay at but would skip their restaurant. The beds were comfortable and everyone was nice at the hotel."

"Very gorgeous building and garden. Wonderful, friendly staff. The gardener and kitchen staff were especially kind. Despite its busy street location, our room was so quiet. Breakfast is EXCELLENT. It is served until 9:45. As night owls, we would've loved if it was served for just one additional hour, but it was genuinely worth rising early for! The hotel isn't in the prettiest neighborhood, but is literally AT the bus stop, which was ultra convenient for us as we preferred not to worry about...

"I loved this place and even though it was confusing to check in at a different hotel down the block, it was very easy once we figured it out haha everyone was very sweet and the room was beautiful and clean. We will definitely stay again! "

"Unique to the property was skeleton key to open and lock your room. Was great walkability to the whole town including pubs for dinner, fresh produce stores and pharmacy, not to mention a couple of different off licenses. "We had a great one night stay at the glen quarter. The room is small but very well designed and sparkling clean. Centrally located in the heart of kinsale. Since we came off season we parked right behind the building. Two doors down from a perfect breakfast spot with delicious cappuccino. Highly recommend for a short stay. Keep in mind that parking could be a challenge during the peak season."

"Kevin and Craiy are fantastic hosts. Warm and friendly, and helpful. Like all their staff. Breakfast was partly self-service and partly table service. All excellent. Great choice too. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Daily service too. Walking distance to everything, with onsight parking. Views from the hotel across the harbour are magnificent. "This was a great option for us because we were in Cork to drop my daughter off at UCC. It was clean and comfortable. The staff was wonderful. Having a full kitchen made eating so much easier and cheaper. Keep in mind that this is a dorm and is not a luxury accommodation. But, I would absolutely do it again."

Wonderful location, hotel and breakfast

"The Blarney Hotel exceeded my expectations. The hotel itself is beautiful and right beside Blarney Castle which was the main purpose of our visit. I was unwell at the time of visit and the front desk receptionist was very helpful with advice for a dr in the area and also offered to make some hot water with lemon and honey which I gratefully took her up on! The genuine service and care was lovely. The breakfast was fantastic! After traveling for almost 3 weeks and have several subpar hotel breakfasts this one really was amazing! We did eat at Christy's Grill which was next door, which was only OK, but location was admittedly convenient. Would have loved to stay longer, would definitely recommend. "

"My wife and I stayed in the hotel during the St Patrick's day celebrations and the town was filled with local families and numerous visitors from around the world. The hotel was very busy and we used the restaurant and bar and it was good to see so many people and families having a good time. The food was lovely and they served a great pint of Guinness. I was very impressed with all the staff we came into contact with. Very friendly, very professional and we'll certainly be back again. "
