"Was a nice clean comfortable room but very noisy. Didn’t get much sleep due to the noise from the clubs and pubs. I should have realised when I booked it that it would have been noisy so partly my fault. My daughter had a cheerleading competition all weekend so was extremely tired on the Sunday morning performing with no sleep. Apart from the noise, was a nice hotel "

"We had a very nice overnight stay. The hotel decor was welcoming, warm and bright, and all staff were friendly and professional. The beds were fresh, clean and comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. The shower was powerful and hot and there were toiletries provided if needed. "This hotel is one we've been to 3 times now. I have a bit of a mixed review. The room was lovely, clean, good quality towels/bedding and very comfortable. We felt a little bit cold despite the radiator being on 5, so I asked the lovely lady on morning reception for some extra blankets. She said she'd get on to this. "Recently stayed at this lovely hotel, great location, cannot fault it at all, they did run out of Guinness in the bar though for the 3 day period I was there but that’s not a problem. Highly recommend and definitely stay there again "

"Good stay here again - breakfast was hotter this time which was appreciated. Room comfortable and shower was good. I don't appreciate being charged £8 for parking which was previously free, but overall it's still an OK hotel for a business one-nighter."

"This was a very fun and historic hotel. It had a lovely bar and restaurant. It is close to mass transit and we were able to walk to the train station. Go visit the castle, there is a lot of history in there. The staff was wonderful and friendly. The rooms were great. We were able to walk to food and drinks. "

"A friend and I had a lovely stay at this Westcliff Hotel having enjoyed an evening at the theatre nearby. Room had a sea view, twin beds were comfortable, breakfast was good, bar service was good, staff lovely and friendly. Bedding and towels were clean, toiletries were provided, walk in shower nice and hot. Sadly though like a lot of our seaside hotels, it is very 'tired' and needs some refurbishment. "Reception welcoming. Lovely bar area for socialising with water meadow views. Mill is historic and the wheel is turning as a feature in the bar and restaurant area. Worth a visit if in the area. Easy walking into Sudbury. Plenty of parking for guests. A good selection of bedrooms. "

"The Rose and Crown was a lovely timber framed building but with modern facilities. The room was large, warm and comfortable with a couple of easy chairs which were an added bonus. The shower was good and easy to use. The breakfast was well presented and good and the staff were all pleasant and created a relaxed atmosphere"
