"The property is 2KM in via dirt / somewhat paved road (can be a bit rough). Once there, paradise. Cabins are lake side; clean and nice! Restaurant is good and can eat along side exotic birds (that are waiting for you to drop something:)"

"The room was beautiful with amazing views of the volcano and lake. There were monkeys on the property. The staff were freindly and helpful. There was a compost toilet in my room and solar panels on the property. The shower was really cool, it was in a outdoir area of the restroom with plants and rocks. "

"This is a great place to stay. It is old but kept up. Latin charm. Breakfast was great with very good service. Check in person was wonderful. Sorry, I can not remember his name. Calm and quite."

"The hotel room was great but no staff around to help. I didn’t have water the whole afternoon until late night and the next morning I was taking a shower and the water gone I have get out of the shower with soap and start yelling to anyone to help me and after 2 hours they fixed by the time I have to check out. They need Staff and a phone in the room to connect it to the office to get help "

"I was quite disappointed with this accommodation. We were greeted by someone that spoke no english which was quite uneasy seeing as how we just arrived on the island at 6pm (sunset) and wanted to familiarize ourselves with the space. Instead as the sun went down, we were greeted by a guy with a flashlight which seemed to be telling us he was the night guard and told us to yell his name if we heard anything. "I loved our stay at this resort! It had a beautiful view of the volcano. A lovely beach is right beyond the back gates. The staff was very helpful and always way to find for what ever we needed. I enjoyed the food we had there. It is a very tranquil spot. Our taxi driver had no issues finding the place from the ferry. The cabanas were very clean and comfortable with good air conditioning. We enjoyed drinking coffee on the front porch in the morning."

"Finca Ometepe is tucked up against the Volcano Madera about 2km past the town of Balgue. They have many fruit trees, fresh eggs, and even homemade goat cheese when we stayed there. The casita kitchen is well equipped. We were warmly welcomed and really enjoyed our stay here."

"We had a great stay at Hotel La Omaja! The staff were very helpful and friendly. There is a beautiful view of the lake and the volcanoes. The rooms were lovely with AC, fans and hot water. It was a little difficult to access as the final stretch is all dirt roads and the driveway is very steep. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay there again!"
