"Overall stay was good. However, the bathrooms are visible inside the room. Not recommended for a family to stay inside the room. I kindly suggest to put up curtains or a blurred glass to have privacy. Also, the balconies are connected to each room with a sliding door which is kind of unnecessary i feel. "We had a fantastic 6 night stay at Surf N Spice, the guys who run the place are amazing. They made our trip so easy and relaxing. Huge comfy room with excellent aircon and a nice balcony to sit and relax on. The breakfast they serve as incredible, best we have had in 6 months travelling. "We loved out stay, hotel staff were so attentive and went out of our way to enjoy the experience. The meals were truly amazing, Dinusla cooked our dinner as we were the first guests for the season and Wow! It was the best Sri/Lankan meal we have ever had. Breakfast was so delicious, fresh fruit & juice, eggs of choice plus delicious delicate curry with roti. Sean, Uden and Shenal were fabulous, they felt like family when we had to depart."

"We arrived there after a 5 hr drive to find it closed, actually more like abandoned. There was no one working there much less staying there. Luckily we found a beautiful place down the beach. Very disheartening that Expedia would take bookings for a place that’s not even open. Worst of it is that even after we notified Expedia you can still book it !!"

"The owner greated us with a nice cold scented towel to wipe our faces and hands on, which was very welcoming after our hot journey and a refreshing iced tea. Our bedroom was lovely and big and spotless. A nice big bathroom with plenty of hot water. The top terrace was lovely with the sea views whilst eating great food. You could walk to the beach in 5 minutes where you can find lots of great restaurants."
