"These were hands down the most comfortable beds and pillows we've experienced on this trip to Europe, and the trip included stays at three Hiltons and several other Hilton properties. Breakfast at FH Witt is also slightly better than at some/most Euro Hiltons. Not way better, good variety but exceptional quality. Room service was amazing. Dozens of good-quality restaurants within 5 blocks. Parking is extremely easy, we parked right in front of the entrance for a few euros every evening....

"The pictures do not do it justice. If you are from North America this will give you the ultimate cozy Scandinavian vibe. The lighting, candles even during breakfast, and room decor was such a welcome in the cold rainy days in October. It was bare bones with no conditioner, shampoo, hair dryer but still simple, cozy with warm people working there. The beautiful library is across the street and great to see. So quick and easy to the downtown centre. Centrally located. We loved our stay!!"

"Jenny's Garden is a series of wooden houses of varying size in a little compound not far from the centre of Kalmar. I stayed for 4 nights in 2 of them. It was pointed out by the owners Amy and Henrik that the oldest one was several hundred years old.The place has character and some period furnishings which give it a tranquil air. That being said, it has modern amenities (excellent shower in both properties where I was), heating, TV, a wide array of cooking and cleaning utensils). A pretty garden...
