"Room was clean, beds comfortable and aircon excellent But unable to get Wi-Fi in room and nowhere comfortable to sit except on the bed. Pool lovely but no sun loungers. Room was not serviced during our 4 night stay but clean towels were provided on request. Maintenance also came quickly when a curtain pole came down and they also provided a mop at my request because I was frightened of slipping in the wet room. "The hotel is in a very good position, near to the jetty and all local eateries. Our room was great with partial sea view and view over the trees complete with monkeys. The room was comfortable and the balcony nice. Best of all the staff were wonderful from reception to catering to cleaning - all treated us well. My only gripes are that the hotel on the whole was only superficially clean and some of the hot food was less than hot but having said thatI would recommend the Orient Star."

"The hotel is located in a very quiet area. It is 15 min drive from the center, and many restaurants and a night market is about 5 min drive from the hotel. My room (premier suite) was huge and was sitting on the edge of the sea. At the balcony, I could hear waves, and could see fishing boats. And every morning, many hornbills visited the hotel restaurant. The staff members were friendly and very helpful. They really tried to make me happy while I was there. There is a beach next to the hotel...
