There are sitting rooms, we used one each night and had it all to ourselves. Breakfast simple but everything you would expect for a continental breakfast. "Hotel room was nice and clean. The pool was great and the kids really enjoyed playing in it and in the playground. The downside was the staff were very abrupt never told us were any of the facilities were. You had to choose your breakfast the night before and it mainly consisted of cakes and pastries. The only savoury items were eggs and salami. If you wanted dinner you also had to choose what you wanted in advance. "

But make sure to make reservatiins at any restaurant in this area for a Saturday night. Don't miss the porterhouse steak in the restaurant across the street. Pool area and terrasse is amazing. Highly recommend this place off the beaten path. 1 hour to each Pisa and Florence from here. "

"Great Ambiance- even though our room (“Biba”) 3rd floor window at knee height. Property not good for someone who cannot climb stairs. Food and service excellent! Would stay there again- great location relative to all to see in Barga and driving Tuscan countryside. Nice comfortable pool with nice chaises. Good value as excellent breakfast included. We couldnt find much info on hotel on internet but it turned out to be a real gem"

"Beautiful location next to river and parkland, close to town and access to spa day centre. Hotel is clean, a bit dated, and service is generally good. Problem only on check out which set us back half an hour - staff could not overcome a computer set back which may be evident that a general upgrade to hotel facilities and staff training may be required"
