At 8.30 am we went to the restaurant to have a buffet breakfast as advertised on a board just outside the restaurant . Once inside we were told they were not doing the buffet . "We wanted a quiet overnight stay in the countryside close enough to the Wivenhoe Dam. Woodlands is in a unique and delightful setting on the top of a hill. You need to have reasonable walking ability to enjoy the gardens. Because it was a Monday night we travelled about 5 kms to the Sundowner Saloon on the Warrego Highway for dinner. This added to our happy experience. "
