"We enjoyed our stay at Pagana. As noted in other reviews the black paint in hallways and stairs along with low lighting is unusual. I took the stairs once and decided never again. The mattress is very firm. I enjoyed the hammock on the balcony along with the views. Both restaurants are fantastic. I would recommend Pagana offer some type of literature or information on hotel services such as how to call for room service, book a reservation at either restaurant or contact the front desk. Thanks"

"I loved all of the foliage around the property. Bougainvilleas abound everywhere and provide habitat and shade for the beautiful birds and fascinating lizards. The architecture is gorgeous, with wood arched doors and a variety of staircases that make the different levels interesting. "The location is amazing with beach access, dive shop, kiteboarding school downstairs and it is some view to wake up to. The condition is not as good as a chain hotel but that’s expected in a fishing village. The staff is simply heart warming. They will do their best to make you feel at home. "Almost a mile from the boardwalk is a beautiful small hotel with 1 and 2 bedroom suites with a full kitchen.. I got my steps in every day walking to the western marina to enjoy the scuba diving with sea lions and whale sharks snorkeling. When I didn't feel like walking, ubers were just a few dollars US from anywhere in the city.. Planning on staying here again when I return. Absolutely wonderful!"
