"Never again! When I arrived they had no record of my booking, even though I showed them the booking confirmation. After almost an hour they agreed to give me a room. When we were in the room it was freezing, it was -2 in the room, we tried the heating but it didn’t work. Asked reception to move us but they said they didn’t have any other rooms made up. We left at 6am because we couldn’t stand the cold."

"Staed one night. Greeted at reception by a lovely lady. Very informative and friendly. Room 14 was a bit dated and tired. Bed not that comfortable but huge ! Pillows ok but one too little and 2 too much. Did not sleep well. Could hear every noise from people next door. Paintwork throughout hotel could do with a refresh. Carpets very worn in places. Service and food in restaurant was very good even though they were busy."

Whilst not 'manned' the telephone was answered quickly and instructions including a map and how to gain access/breakfast etc was sent over immediately. "It’s ok here, for a hotel in a town that has seen better days. A nice big room (8), clean, well maintained with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was more than big enough, with a huge walk in shower. Pity about the spots of dirt and mould in the bottom rear corners. The room even has its own outside sun deck. "The premises are a bistro pub with rooms to the back of the premises and free parking. The room (No 7) was accessed by a corridor to the rear and was very tidy and clean. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom very nice with a powerful shower. The only minus I can say are that the room has a high step inside the room which could trip you up going to the bathroom at night. On the other side of the bed was a low ceiling, However this was a minor inconvenience"

"The electric fire in my caravan did not work. The carpets although clean on the surface could do with a deep clean to revive the pile. I reported this to reception. Overhead low flying aircraft every day were very noisy, I know this can't be helped with an RAF base right next door. Otherwise my stay was fine."
