"The pictures are very misleading. The room was horrible. No parking. You had to park quite far. Long walk through narrow trail. Very difficult to find even with Google. Extremely disappointed. Did not stay. We simply walked out. Reserved somewhere else. List our money, but just could not stay there "

"Batad Rice Terraces is a must see, but have to be physically fit for it is very steep, high, narrow and very very long walk. But once you overcome the almost 1 hour walk with rest, it is worth to see the place. Definitely, get a guide and a stick to go with you. The owner of the place gave an excellent service."

"I don't know if this place will be for everyone as the furnishings and amenities are quite minimal and it's hard to find if you arrive in Sagada by car...but once you settle in it can be quite soothing. It's a ways from the main road in its own neighborhood and it was quite peaceful sitting on the terrace in the morning or evening and listening to dogs, roosters and neighbors chatting. "Ramon's homestay is a great place to stay in Batad. The rooms are rustic with that provides basic needs for a homestay. You're provided with million dollar views and if you get to meet Mang Ramon, you are in for a treat as his hospitality is that "home" feel that you are looking for."

"Bathroom smelled of sewage. The lady at the from desk kept trying to sell us tours and transportation for way above the going price. She told us a tricycle ride was 1800 pesos. First place we checked in town gave it to us for 200 pesos. Be aware of that! Hotels.com says it includes breakfast. They made us scabbled eggs and then charged 50 pesos for it. The front desk claimed only toast was included with the price of the accomadation. Not worth dealing with this kind of nonsense. I recommend...

"The setting of Batad Pension is unbelievably beautiful. It’s worth the trek in to spend the night there and really enjoy Batad. In addition, the owner is lovely and warm, cooks lovely food, and goes out of her way to be helpful to her visitors. I highly recommend Batad Pension and Restaurant"
